Roundtable Announces New Policy Institute

The Public Sector HealthCare Roundtable announced the formation of theĀ Institute for Public Employee Health Care Policy.

According to Roundtable Administrator Tom Lussier, the Institute has been established as a 501(c)3 not-for-profit corporation. It will be a nonpartisan, policy institute focused on public policy areas impacting healthcare plans available to public sector employees, retirees, and their beneficiaries.

In conjunction with the Roundtable, the Institute aims to raise awareness and educate the Washington, D.C. policy community via public events, authored papers and issue briefs, and research.

The formation of the Institute will be guided by Marta Green, a senior advisor atĀ Healthsperien, LLC, and a former chief of health plan research and administration at CalPERS. Marta is a former member of the HealthCare Roundtable Board of Directors.

Lussier and Green introduced the new Institute at the Roundtable’s 18th Annual Conference.
